Corporate Express Document & Print Management Division Attains FSC Certification

Broomfield, Colorado – June 16, 2008Corporate Express US Inc. announced today that four printing plants in its Document & Print Management division have been independently audited and certified to the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) chain-of-custody standard. This certification assures Corporate Express customers nationwide that chain-of-custody procedures exist to document FSC-certified fiber as is passes through the supply chain from the forest, through the manufacturing and printing processes to their doorstep.

Corporate Express US Inc., part of the Dutch-based Corporate Express NV (NYSE: CXP), is a leading business-to-business supplier of office and computer supplies, office furniture, facility supplies, document and print management, imaging and computer graphic supplies, promotional products and other similar products. The company’s Document & Print Management division is a leading provider of print management and business form, label, direct mail and fulfillment solutions.

The FSC chain-of-custody certification enables the company to print a wide array of custom and stock forms for its customers. These products range from roll, cut sheet, and multipart forms, to bindery products, which include booklets, bound documents, notepads and other paper items that are produced in accordance with FSC standards. When produced under high FSC standards, the product displays a FSC product label. The FSC product label helps consumers to identify products that support the growth of responsible forest management worldwide.

"Many of our customers are working hard to reduce their environmental impact, just as we are at Corporate Express. Lots of customers are asking -- and still more are requiring -- that we provide FSC chain-of-custody-certified printing capability,” said Jay Mutschler, president of Corporate Express US. “We are extremely pleased to now be able to provide this service to our customers nationwide. Corporate Express supports all credible third-party forest certification standards because we believe they encourage responsible forest management globally."

In 2008, Corporate Express chose FSC-certified, thirty percent post-consumer recycled paper to print its flagship Office Products Sourcebook as well as several specialty catalogs, including their government, IRS, diversity, school supplies, facility products and local Alaska catalogs. Corporate Express is the first major office products company in the US to print so many catalogs in this fashion.

The company’s nationwide recycling program enables customers to easily recycle old catalogs 2/2 by simply giving them to their Corporate Express drivers. To encourage online shopping, the company also provides its customers with an online version of it Sourcebook, as well as an online green catalog at www.EcofficeSource.com. The company also invites its customers to cancel future print catalog delivery at any time to help save the Earth’s resources. Over seventy percent of orders from the company are placed electronically.
